About Kjell

As a classical musician, Kjell got his first lessons at the age of six. After finishing his secondary school he went to LUCA School Of Arts Leuven where he obtained his master degrees in percussion and marimba as well as his teaching diploma.

Kjell has travelled in Europe, the United States & Asia to perform in different orchestra's, chamber groups such as Brassband Willebroek and the Belgian Marimba Group but also as a solo artist.

Beside classical music, Kjell has a passion for rock & metal music. As soon as he started playing the drums, he founded his first bands. Since then Kjell plays and has played in different bands such as Powerstroke, 6Exhance, Royal Jake, Wildernis, ...

As a session drummer, he has done several recordings and live gigs with bands such as Killer, Imperia, Thorium, Lions Pride ...

The combination of his classical training and love for the drums creates an original sound that leads to creative ideas.
